2008 Hall of Fame Awards

The 2008 Hall of Fame inductees went to two people who have made outstanding contributions to the sport of powerlifting, Faith Ireland and Todd Christensen.

Faith has won 5 National Powerlifting titles, is a multiple IPF World Team member, and is an IPF World Championships medalist! In addition to her awesome athletic achievements, Faith also works in the community as a volunteer and has worked as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice. Faith always displays grace under pressure, is a mentor to others, and is a role model on and off the platform.

Todd Christensen also got inducted into the Hall of Fame and also received an additional award for the Coach of the Year. Members of Todd's team, the Pacific Powerlifters, presented Todd with the awards.

Todd began lifting in 1974 and his first competition was in 1980. Todd has lifted in close to 100 competitions. In addition to his lifting accomplishments, he has coached over 3,000 athletes!! His athletes have won 25 USAPL National titles, numerous World Championship titles, and have set countless USAPL National and WA State records. The Pacific Powerlifters also won the team title at the 2008 USAPL National Women's Championships. Todd is always willing to help when needed and has been an incredible contributor to the sport of powerlifting.
